Much paper chasing looked good for Boone because of the lore but could find no real link to Loretta. So many Williams in the family! and the wives names were mixed up. Off I went to the local Genealogy dept at Western Kentucky University and obtained additional documents and copies of Books mentioning our family. The real breakthrough came in 2005 with DNA my brother agreed and off we went and yes we are related to Loretta Lynn but not Daniel Boone. John, William, William (3 wives and 19 children, our connection is through the 2nd wife and Lorettas' is through the 3rd wife), Abraham, Dennie and Frank. Now with this 2nd wife Mahalah Franklin comes a new quandry... is this in fact a line that goes back to Benjamin Franklin? It may be through his brother... wish me luck!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577555193550045476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078973036927209827.post-87264736759936250992021-09-25T21:28:38.278-04:002021-09-25T21:28:38.278-04:00Thank you, DiAnn. :)Thank you, DiAnn. :)Suzanne G. After researching Granny's mother's family, I did find Frank James...but not THAT Frank James. Her mother's brother was named Frank James. I didn't find a brother named Jesse.

Some of the family stories are just that, stories, to make things a bit exciting for the children, I guess. :)

After crawling through 300+ years of our families, I think there was plenty of excitement going on without having to fabricate stories. But it is those fabrications that bring me the biggest smiles because Daddy took the time to share them with me. :)

Have a blessed weekend.Suzanne G.
